This topic really stood out for me as I started to reflect on my previous math experiences. Growing up, my math teachers didn’t integrate a positive growth mindset into their everyday lessons. From my high school math experience, I didn’t think about the other students around me and how they learned math differently than I did as I was extremely focused on the way I wanted to do the problem and my way of solving it was right. Hello everyone and welcome to my Math Blog! My name is Nicole Tsitsopoulo s. I am a Brock University Teacher Candidate. My first teachable is Chemistry, and my second teachable is Mathematics. This is a blog about mathematics, teaching, reflection, learning and technology. The goal of this blog is to reflect on my experiences in my teaching for math course from two perspectives; a future educator and a student. There are many challenges facing mathematics in education today and this blog will critically analyze my experience with the current mathematics curriculum and my overall philosophy of mathematics education.
